Class 1 - Mrs Swash's class

Year 6 pupils have had a busy start to the academic year!

As part of their topic, "Revolution," the pupils visited Blists Hill and took part in a Victorian school re-enactment.  They used the visit as an inspiration for the assembly that they performed for parents in early November.

At the end of September, pupils organised a Macmillan Coffee Morning for parents, raising over £220 for the charity.  This event was enjoyable and helped towards developing the children's social skills.

There have been several sports events for the Year 6 pupils to enjoy.  These have included an Autumn Activity afternoon at William Brookes School, where the pupils completed sports with Year 6 pupils from other local schools.  All Year 6 pupils have taken part in Sports Leader training and have completed a Bikeability course to develop their cycling skills and make them more aware of potential dangers on the road.
